About

I'm her wannabe helpless romantic...bless her heart.

If you look at my profile on about.me, you’ll see

“Hi. I’m Kevin. I’m a twenty something technical specialist. I specialize in server virtualization, SQL databases, and some web development with PHP.”

In a nutshell, I’m 23, a server technician, a college student, trying to make it in the IT industry, an avid learner, a wanna-be avid reader, a blogger, a photographer, a musician, a wanna-be-hopeless-romantic, “that guy” on the road, a Linux junkie, a Windows guru, and a some-day-Mac-owner.

That’s me.

An Altered Reality is what I call my view on the world. It’s everything: my point of view, my perspective, and any other fancy words that have to do with that.

It’s a brain dump.

I love my job, I love writing about IT, and I love to occasionally treat this space as a journal with pages that load rather than pages that turn.

You can expect the unexpected, things that are possibly over your head, things that are right up your alley, and some things you probably didn’t care to know.

I like to teach, I hope you learn something.

I like to learn, teach me.

I like to talk, feel free to converse.

I hate big words, so please, avoid them.

I speak acronyms, geek, and L33t – be forewarned.

Welcome to An Altered Reality.
